1. Oklahoma (10-2)
Even with a tough schedule, Oklahoma will always finish with a good record. The Sooners ranked first on my preseason SOS but I didn't expect them not to compete for a league title and neither did many as the Sooners can still tie for first place in the Big 12. Oklahoma right now sits in at 9-2 with a meeting at Stillwater to the sixth ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys. 2. Iowa (8-4) Iowa has been one of the bigger surprises in football this season. Yes, the Hawkeyes are just 8-4 but from where they came from last season and with the killer preseason schedule they faced it's quite an accomplishment. Iowa has faced Top 25 teams Northern Illinois, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Wisconsin while also playing Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, and a preseason hyped team Northwestern in which they beat in overtime. Iowa capitalized on a cushy Big Ten schedule this season. 3. Cal (1-11) Cal's only win this season was against FCS Portland State. That should say enough. Cal has faced Oregon, UCLA, Washington, and Stanford all on the road with out of conference games versus Northwestern and Ohio State. It's not a shock that Cal went 1-11 this year with the #3 hardest schedule this preseason. 4. Kansas (3-9) 5. Utah (5-7) 6. Purdue (1-11) 7. Arkansas (3-9) 8. Stanford (10-2) 9. Notre Dame (8-4) 10. Missouri (11-1) 11. Illinois (4-8) 12. TCU (4-8) 13. Iowa State (3-9) 14. Hawaii (1-11) 15. LSU (9-3) |
