Yes, I know I didn't right in complete sentences.
BRANDIN COOKS // OREGON STATE // WR // 5'9 // 189 // 4.33
Cooks checks in with a small frame but plays big meaning he competes for jump balls and doesn't shy away from any contact. He had a very productive career at Oregon State. Great hands (never saw a drop on the games I watched). Very elusive meaning he has Xbox moves and shows shiftiness. Versatile. Effective from handoffs and in the return game. Hard to notice patience on film but he follows block to let the routes open up. His blocking is hitting about even par but there wasn't much too show for. A glaring negative is he tends to do too much. Tends to run east-west trying to make plays. Mostly occurs on screen passes or other throws in the slot.
Bottom-line: Very impressed. Nothing that says he is not a first round pick. Solid hands and route running will get you a spot in the NFL. If he was near 6'0 he might be the best WR in this draft in my opinion.
SAMMY WATKINS // CLEMSON // WR // 6'0 // 211 // 4.43
Very productive even with a shaky sophomore season. Tremendous hands. Rarely any drops. Creates space with straight-line speed and takes what the defense gives him. Versatile with handoffs and running back and many returns in the return game. Good strength for his size (ran over Ryan Shazier in bowl). Doesn't consist of much shiftiness and doesn't seem very elusive as what he is talked up to be. Doesn't seem to have a jump ball in his game even though that doesn't mean he doesn't posses the trait. Not much effort when blocking.
Bottom-line: Top-notch speed and consistency and solid route running puts Watkins near the top if not #1. Crazy talented and stood out in front of many talented receivers at Clemson. Top five pick.
ERIC EBRON // NORTH CAROLINA // TE // 6'4 // 250 // 4.60
Very versatile as he can line up in slot, at wideout, or even with hand in the ground. Vertical threat with straight line speed. Huge strides to create separation. Showed improvement as a route runner as season progressed. Still an area he needs to continue to work on. Inconsistent blocker. Shows effort on blocks but occasionally whiffs and is the reason the play didn't develop. But can be a devastating blocker when making contact. A highlight reel.
Bottom-line: A WR playing TE. Ebron has all the WR ball skills and is continuing to grow as a blocker. Off the film, he should have a great interview. A top 20 talent but may be over-drafted but has gaps over the next guys. Vernon Davis type game.
