Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, (2)through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. (3)Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; (4)perseverance, character; and character hope. (5)And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
-I haven't met anyone who enjoys suffering, but suffering can produce perseverance. If and when you persevere, you continue to trust God during hard times. Hope in God can result from this.
-As it is said perfectly in verse eight, "...While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
--That should be enough motivation for us to get on the right track for Jesus and to live the way he wants us to.
-We have a just and forgiving father and may not realize it until we look for him during times of need. We can't make that a habit, as we should aways seek him through the good, the bad, and the ugly.
-We MUST praise him during rain or shine and not think to hesitate in questioning what he has in store for us, because he holds a bright future for us all.
--Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
