It's crazy how fired up or how passionate we are about some materialistic things in our everyday lives. Whether it's sports, cleaning (trust me some are very passionate about this), writing lyrics, or working on any other activities that get you pumped, we get that happy excited feeling in our gut, literally, in which we have to tend to that feeling in order to get back to "normal." If I completely lost you consider this: find something that you enjoy in which you look forward to everyday and if not fulfilled by the time your head hits the pillow you feel like you must get it done or else you will feel naked. (I hope that helped)
Personally, my activity is studying football, writing about football, watching football, and working on anything involving football as you can see throughout my website. If in class or in any public place I hear someone mention Cam Newton, Jim Harbaugh, Johnny Manziel, Rob Gronkowski, or any other popular athlete I feel like I need to be involved in the conversation as the fire starts and I'm ready to assert my opinion on the topic being discussed.
Having a sensation or excitement looking forward to something is hard to beat like my love for football. Why can't we have this fired up feeling when spending time with God? Well, we can!
I challenge you and myself to first find that activity during your daily schedule in which you look forward to each and everyday. While you are doing that activity I want you to think about spending time with God. This will help you be constantly reminded to have your quiet time with God. If you keep this mindset you will be in a routine of having a quiet time and this will help you benefit a healthier relationship with God.
I hope you have a great rest of the week!
God bless,
